Thirteen years ago Sara entered the food allergy world with the birth of her first child. As each of her children were born, she became more involved in the food allergy community and from within her own Jewish community would receive calls almost daily from someone needing help. She continued helping families within her community understand allergies, help them network, and get to know their new normal. She has also received a Pennsylvania state clearance for volunteer work. With the diagnosis of Tourettes, OCD, ADHD, etc.. of her oldest at seven, she became actively involved in the Tourettes community, again, helping people in her own community understand their new normal. Her oldest daughter in the fall of 2013 was diagnosed with Idiopathic anaphyalxis. This started her family on a journey to find a Service Dog for her daughter. After a long search, Sara’s family found Angel Service Dogs and in Aug. 2015, Bravo joined her family. Wanting to help more families find their special angel after seeing how life changing Bravo was, Sara became more involved in ASDi. She eventually joined the board and became Board President.
Cindy has a volunteer background working with children and dogs. She volunteered at her kids’ elementary school assisting staff, fundraising and serving on committees. When her own children entered into the 4-H program, she became a club leader, superintendent for general projects and board member for her county 4-H, serving in both offices as Secretary and/or Treasurer. In time, she became involved with a local animal shelter as a volunteer and in 2009 met the Angel Service Dogs organization. With Angel Service Dogs, Cindy has been able to assist with her knowledge of canine care, organizational skills and nearly 20 years of experience in helping both people and dogs.
