I have a Bar Mitzvah coming upon June 27, 2015 and one of the things that Jewish kids do as part of their preparation is to choose a tzadakah project. Tzadakah is a Hebrew word that means making the world whole. We can do this by helping people out or donating money for a good cause. For my project I will be raising money to help a girl named Frieda who is very allergic to many different kinds of foods and needs a service dog. The money will be used to train a special dog named Bravo that can tell when one of the things that she is allergic to is near or when she needs her parents. Bravo will also help Frieda be calm when she has an allergic reaction.
Frieda is a very special girl. Even though she has many challenges in her life dealing with her medical issues, she still does her part to make the world whole by sending Hanukkah cards and Passover treats to Jewish soldiers who are stationed away from home. It will cost $20,000 to train Bravo, so I hope that you can help me meet my goal of raising at least $1,000 to help Frieda.
Updated on this date: 5-5-2015, Eli has raised $1044 (this amount is reflected in the Bravo for Frieda campaign)
